Condition:
Small crater-like openings in the finish

Cause:
- Painting over surfaces contaminated with oil, wax, silicone, grease, etc.
- Use of a thinner / reducer in place of a solvent cleaner when first cleaning the surface to be painted.
- Spraying over previously repaired areas having a existing “fisheye” surface.
- Oil contamination of air lines.
- Uneven spray pattern.
Prevention:
- Clean the substrate or surface carefully before applying coating
- Drain and clean the air pressure regulator daily.
Treatment:
- Sand down the affected area and clean the surface with PCI degreaser and than refinish it again with PCI alternative products listed.
