Condition:
Irregularity in the surface of paint or topcoat film resulting in a dimpled surface.

Cause:
- Improper gun adjustment and techniques.
- Improper flash or drying time causing subsequent coats to lose solvents to the dry coat.
- Mixing ratio incorrect.
- Thick paint viscosity.
- Thinner or reducer used is fast evaporating.
Prevention:
- Use proper gun adjustments, techniques, and air pressure.
- Allow sufficient flash time. Do not dry by fanning.
- Allow proper dry time for undercoats and topcoats.
- Mix all pigmented coatings thoroughly.
- Mixing ratio should be correct.
Treatment:
In mild cases, a mild polishing compound or rubbing compound for top coat may help but in severe cases, sand and refinish with a slower evaporating thinner or reducer, recommended is PCI T-018 at the correct air pressure.
